Schaumburg Police Detectives Conducting a Domestic-Related Death Investigation at Townhouse on Stoughton Court Near Sagamore Drive

Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:06 p.m. Monday June 17, 2019 to a report that a person was shot in a home in the block of 1100 Stoughton Court. Schaumburg police officers arrived within four minutes, entered the residence, and discovered the body of a deceased 57 year-old male victim, and secured the scene.

Schaumburg fire command requested a second ambulance respond to the scene by 9:17 p.m., but the second ambulance was returned at 9:35 p.m.

The Schaumburg Police Detective Division initiated a death investigation immediately after the discovery of the deceased victim. Schaumburg police said Tuesday June 18, 2019 that one subject is in custody, and that the incident is currently being investigated as a domestic-related incident.

Schaumburg police on Tuesday morning did not confirm that a shooting occurred.
